A. Constable and Co.is a London publisher established in 1895. According to the Little Brown Book Group website, it was founded in 1795 when Archibald Constable opened an antique bookstore in Edinburgh and began publishing books under his own name. After Archibald’s death, his son Thomas began a printing and publishing company which he later passed on to his son Archibald (the second).
